Arne Jacobsen designed the Ant in 1952 for the canteen at Novo Nordic, an international Danish healthcare company. Today, the Ant is one of the prominent icons of the Fritz Hansen collection - and uniquely still available with either 3 or 4 legged base.
This version pairs Stained Ash ( visible wood grain) or Lacquered Ash (no visible grain) in Black, White or Nine Grey with colour-matched steel legs, for a Monochrome appearance.

Materials
The shell is steam bent in one piece made out of 9 layers of veneer. These layers are always lined with Indian cotton on the inside.
The base is made of powdercoated steel.
