Topside Stool By Andu Masebo

A versatile heavy-set design that can be used throughout the home to sit on, stand on, or as a place for life's daily ephemera. Topside was conceived by exploring the limits of making a viable design through one section of timber. 

This piece is part of the 2025 SCP Boxed Collection. Initially launched in 2009, the brief challenges designers to create pieces that fit within the dimensions of a standard DHL international shipping box (480 x 400 x 390mm). 
With no restrictions on material, the brief encourages a diverse range of product types.
